The PRN Special Event Specialist
Job Summary
This position is designed to provide intermittent, support for a specific annual fundraising event.
Responsibilities include: supporting key aspects of event planning, marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts. Duties include Coordinating and facilitating interviews and meetings between participating artists and clients, Providing after-hours access to McNabb Center facilities for scheduled meetings, Assisting with event logistics and organization, and Supporting strategic digital marketing initiatives.
The position also supports the development of promotional materials and content for a variety of communication platforms to increase awareness, engagement, and participation in the event.

1. Development
Participate in coordination and implementation of fundraising and community/internal events
Create and distribute marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, programs, etc
Organize and maintain event contacts and distribution lists
Provide volunteer coordination assistance for special events
Assist with other special projects as needed
2. Marketing/Communications
Monitor program-level social media accounts and assist staff on effective social media engagement; provide assistance and support as necessary to help staff implement social strategies for their individual programs.
Coordinate and design email marketing in conjunction with the Breakthrough Gala and other special events.
3. Content Management/Publications
Assist with basic photography and submit to marketing department and contracted marketing firm.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is $20/hour.
Schedule:
Hours will vary throughout the event planning cycle, with workloads increasing during key planning periods and decreasing during off-peak months. Scheduling will be based on the needs of the event.
Travel:
This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment. An F endorsement is required.
QUALIFICATIONS- PRN Special Events Specialist
Education/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree from a four year accredited college or university preferred.
Knowledge of current practices in marketing, fundraising and community development, as well as the behavioral health field.
Experience:
Marketing, development or related field preferable
Software skills must include Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat.)
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Physical:
Ability to lift 20 lbs.
